Mijn Hoya 'Sunrise' staat in bloei.

Hoya 'Sunrise' is een kruising tussen Hoya lacunosa ssp. pallidiflora en Hoya obscura.
Lacunosa is de "moeder" en Obscura de "vader"
De zaaddoos zat dus aan de Lacunosa

Deze Hoya is een hybride, "ontdekt" door Michael Miyashiro.

Sommige bladeren lijken op die van een Obscura (roodachtig) en sommige bladeren van een Lacunosa.

Hoe meer licht sommige bladeren krijgen, hoe roder ze worden.

Interesting story about H. 'Sunrise'.....There was a terrific hoya grower - years ago, 25 ? named Micheal Myashiro in Honolulu. His plants were well pollinated and he grew out a lot of seedlings because his habit was to include a seedling or two with every order....he composted the rest. 25 years ago, the Hoya World was very small ... it was a rarity... Those later years more and more people got turned on by them and everyone started group trading and sharing...so during this time I received in a trade I received a cutting of this cross and when I grew it for a couple of years... I wanted this cross to be more important and always exist, so I was coached by Chris Burton, published them... along with a couple /4 others. I talked to MM about it...if it was OK, and did he want to publish them and he wasn't interested in Hoyas anymore and his life had moved on. So, when you see "MM Hybrid" that's the story....
